Thanksgiving and Family
grace, gratitude and humility

Thanksgiving is such a dear, warm time to spend with friends and family. A rare and precious gathering of wonderful foods, happy laughter and created memories with those who fill our hearts, Thanksgiving is grace realized. Nestled in November, Thanksgiving marks the time of stillness and transformation, a moment of change as we pass into winter. All of Nature is impacted by the lessening hours of sunlight and gradual move inward.

Both historical and personal, Thanksgiving envelops the ideal in humanity wherein disparate peoples, species and cultures take pause to bond and reconnect as a global family. Below please find children's picture books sharing the joy and love of Thanksgiving in addition to historical accounts of the First Thanksgiving celebrated by the Native Americans and Pilgrims. Children's picture books about Native Americans can be found at Native Americans - wisdom of our First Peoples.
