The changing of seasons has become a sweet and tender time in my heart now that I have a daughter with which to share them. There is something primal and soul-nurturing about watching, feeling and celebrating the seasons come and go. Paying attention to the fruits and flowers, migrating birds and butterflies makes one feel part of nature, part of the mystery that infuses life with joy and magic.
Below please find wonderful children's picture books we've enjoyed about the seasons as well as some of the quintessential foods and experiences of each from pumpkins and apples to snow, migration and hibernation and the turning colors of leaves.
