Able to progress in independent, self-directed ways that are supported with parental love and kindness, children who are homeschooled have limitless possibilities and subjects to explore. Learning at home affords the various levels of growth and speed at which each child develops and masters to be respected and honored so that frustration can be limited and joy can be maximized. Homeschooling offers a foundation of security from which children can meet the world on their terms so that they can identify and pursue their purpose and passion.
Homeschooling is the most open-hearted gift a parent can give their child. Done for various reasons, the choice to homeschool is a challenging, exciting and often intimidating prospect for parents who are beginning the education process. Often overwhelmed by endless curricula choices and the need to find community and support, homeschooling parents find answers in a trial-and-error approach that yields materials and methods that work for their family. Homeschooling styles vary from structured, school-at-home with set curricula, schedule and testing to unschooling which is relaxed, child-driven and open - and everything in between. Below please find homeschooling internet links, books and support to help you on this magnificent journey you and your child are taking. Thank you for the time, energy, financial resources and emotional commitment you have made to your child and in turn, the future of our planet. All educators - home or establishment - give selflessly so that our children can thrive. If you have a favorite resource you'd like to share, please email me.
